About the position

The Business Development Manager for Property Management is responsible for generating qualified leads, responding to management inquiries, and closing deals with rental property owners. This role involves assessing client needs, inspecting properties, and ensuring successful transactions while providing exceptional service to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Seek out current homeowners and real estate investors interested in hiring a property manager.
  • Follow up with prospects via email, phone, text, and other forms of communication to generate qualified leads.
  • Meet owners at properties to inspect and understand their needs.
  • Create documents such as Property Management Agreements and Rental Analysis.
  • Educate potential owners on local rental housing market trends.
  • Explain the management process to owners/investors.
  • Send and review Owner Intake Forms.
  • Coordinate with VA, PM, and Ops to create Tenant Expense Disclosure Forms.
  • Conduct initial inspections of new rental properties and identify repair and maintenance issues.
  • Coordinate Make Ready Issues with the Operations Manager.
  • Review management costs and fees, and explain the benefits of services to owners/investors.
  • Coordinate with office staff to prepare homes for marketing and tenant occupancy.
  • Ensure new owner clients complete all required paperwork.
  • Facilitate introductions between owners and the office team.
  • Handle owner questions and concerns in coordination with the Operations Manager.
  • Provide paperwork to office staff.
  • Attend regular office huddles.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid Utah Real Estate License required.
  • Valid Utah driver's license and vehicle.
  • Established track record of successful sales experience.
  • Familiarity with local real estate market conditions and trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales and negotiation (1 year preferred).
  • Ability to commute to Cottonwood, UT 84121.
  • Willingness to travel (50% preferred).
