About the position

The Sales Manager for OTC Pump and Motor Technology is responsible for leading and supporting the sales team, providing training, and ensuring the achievement of sales goals. This role emphasizes a team-based culture, effective strategy implementation, and strong cross-functional relationships to drive business success in the industrial distribution sector.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support to Sales Engineers in the Pump and Motor Technology group.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet business expectations.
  • Create and submit monthly and annual sales plans based on market potential.
  • Engage with team members to ensure they are supported and successful.
  • Resolve personnel issues promptly and effectively.
  • Work with inside sales to ensure customer orders are processed correctly and efficiently.
  • Ensure customer issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
  • Implement corporate initiatives to achieve the corporate mission.
  • Complete sales calls as needed with direct reports.
  • Ensure department and direct reports meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

  • College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in pump and motor technology sales or 8 years in industrial technology sales.
  • Minimum of 3 years in sales management, with multi-territory leadership preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of pumps and rotating equipment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to complete a background check.
