About the position

The Sales Manager for the Residential Division at DH Pace Company will lead an outside sales team focused on selling door and door-related products to homeowners, residential builders, and general contractors in the Kansas City area. This role requires a strong sales background, leadership skills, and the ability to develop and support a team of sales representatives to achieve sales objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Meet the sales objectives and goals of the team.
  • Meet personal sales objectives and goals.
  • Dedicate time to learning products and services.
  • Accompany sales representatives to ensure they reach their full potential in engineering door solutions for customers.
  • Assist in developing the scope of work for proposals and manage related details.
  • Ensure sales representatives handle the proposal process correctly to minimize errors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of three years of Sales Management experience preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of outside sales experience selling technical/mechanical products in the residential sector desired.
  • Ability for technical applications, mechanical systems, and problem-solving.
  • Experience reading blueprints and prior estimating experience desired.
  • Experience working with new construction projects to develop take-offs and bids for large multi-family jobs.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the construction and building materials industry.
  • Familiarity with Windows-based programs and sales tools.
