About the position

The Sales Manager for Taiwan will lead and manage the country/regional sales team to drive sales growth and expand operating margins. This role involves developing and implementing innovative sales and channel strategies to increase market share, revenue, and customer engagement. The Sales Manager will also be responsible for nurturing customer relationships and ensuring the sales team meets its targets.

Responsibilities

  • Drive year over year sales growth in the region.
  • Support the local sales team in defining and implementing individual sales plans.
  • Develop strong relationships with key individuals at key accounts to establish long-term partnerships.
  • Join local sales representatives during customer visits to support business opportunities.
  • Negotiate long-term contracts with key customers.
  • Utilize value-added sales techniques and negotiation skills to grow market share.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop business and convert opportunities into sales revenue.
  • Secure and evaluate information to resolve customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Cultivate new customers and applications for the sales segment.
  • Collaborate with business leadership to execute new strategic and marketing initiatives.
  • Develop customer targets and drive lead generation.
  • Proactively reach out to potential customers and convert opportunities to orders and revenues.
  • Manage sales processes including CRM, Accounts Receivables, and pricing.
  • Deliver and exceed annual sales targets using CRM tools.
  • Establish KPIs for the sales team and implement plans to close performance gaps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Develop and execute pricing plans and campaigns.
  • Close sales, follow up on payments, and meet Accounts Receivable targets.
  • Attract, develop, retain, and motivate a high-performing sales team.
  • Coach and manage the local sales team for competence development and performance management.
  • Implement programs to improve employee engagement and foster a culture of ownership.
  • Ensure adherence to EHS policies and guidelines and create a culture of compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in Sales Management.
  • Strong product and application knowledge in the relevant industry.
  • Exceptional leadership skills to align and motivate teams.
  • Strong business acumen and customer orientation.
  • Ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • Solid negotiation skills and knowledge of value-added selling techniques.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving sales revenue and profitability growth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Engineering background, preferably in Mechanical or Material Technology.
  • Language proficiency in multiple languages to cater to a diverse customer base.
