The Sales Manager Trainee position at Denver Mattress is designed for individuals looking to kickstart their career in sales and management. This entry-level role offers comprehensive training in sales techniques, personnel leadership, and customer service, providing a pathway for advancement within the company. Trainees will work closely with experienced Store Managers to gain hands-on experience and develop the skills necessary to succeed in retail management.

Responsibilities

• Selling a unique array of mattresses and accessories.
• Greeting and assisting customers to ascertain their mattress wants and needs.
• Answering customer questions and inquiries regarding products and services.
• Seeking out information and knowledge regarding new products.
• Setting and achieving personal sales goals.
• Presenting and preparing contracts and processing transactions in POS systems.
• Placing orders and locating stock.
• Maintaining knowledge of current promotions and policies regarding payment, exchanges, and store security.
• Participating in merchandising and product displays.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of previous work experience in any field with regular interaction with people.
• Strong desire to succeed and commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to grasp new concepts and learn new skills.
• Must be coachable and hard-working with a commitment to learning.
• Desire to set and exceed goals.
• Ability to perform well while being a team player.
• Experience with POS systems and Merchandise Inventory Systems is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in sales or customer service roles.
• Background in administration, marketing, hospitality, automotive, real estate, insurance, warehouse/industrial, or food service.
