About the position

The Sales Manager at Westside Hyundai plays a pivotal role in reinforcing the Hanania brand and culture by demonstrating a positive attitude, high energy, and in-depth knowledge of the products. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the sales team, motivating and coaching them to achieve sales goals, and promoting the growth of the Hanania Automotive Group. The Sales Manager will supervise sales associates, assist with hiring and training staff, and organize and oversee the schedules and performance of the sales team. They will conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations and handle employee discipline and termination according to company policy. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the Sales Manager will anticipate and establish monthly and annual sales and expense goals, preparing the departmental operating budget. They will recruit, train, and monitor automotive sales employees, including monitoring commission sheets and payroll. Ensuring compliance with Federal and State laws related to automotive sales is crucial. The Sales Manager will support sales representatives in setting realistic and aggressive monthly targets, assisting with deal closure and approval. Monitoring departmental customer satisfaction ratings and ensuring follow-up with potential buyers is also a key responsibility. The role involves developing, executing, and supervising a sales control system, providing direction for staffing, performance evaluation, and training to ensure effective sales and service programs. The Sales Manager will review and analyze customer preferences and operational records to focus automotive sales efforts, consult with department heads for advertising services, equipment acquisition, and customer information, and engage with prospects to understand their equipment needs and advise on suitable automotive equipment. Addressing retail-related concerns and coordinating with salespeople to close vehicle purchase deals is essential, as is managing purchasing, appraising, and inventory management. The Sales Manager will forecast annual dealership sales by estimating total vehicle sales, operating profits, and departmental expenses, conduct scheduled sales training and meetings to plan and implement automotive sales objectives, and respond to customer complaints to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
