About the position

The Sales Manager at Circle Logistics is responsible for leading a team of Inside Sales Representatives, focusing on developing and coaching them to generate sales leads. This role involves driving the RFP process and finalizing the onboarding of new customers, while actively seeking and maintaining accounts to grow the business.

Responsibilities

  • Actively seek and bring on new accounts.
  • Develop your current book of business and grow it over time.
  • Grow and maintain a sales team of at least 10 people at any given time.
  • Train new inside sales reps up to the level of performance you expect.
  • Drive the development of your team members to transition into Account Management roles.
  • Act as the face of the account and the main contact via email and phone.
  • Communicate the good or bad news via phone and email.
  • Call and email potential customers to develop a relationship.
  • Attend Quarterly business reviews for high level objectives with senior level management for the clients.
  • Conduct RFP reviews and lane list execution.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a logistics environment required.
  • Experience with and/or ability to learn a variety of TMS/CRM platforms.
  • Above average proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office (vlookup, pivot tables, reports).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment and multitask.
  • Strong attention to detail and organized.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Strong work ethic and dependability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in logistics or business related field preferred.
