About the position

The Sales Manager at Closets By Design of Northwest New Jersey is responsible for leading and developing an in-home sales team to achieve sales targets and maintain high performance. This full-time management role involves hiring, training, and coaching team members while implementing the company's proven sales model. The ideal candidate will be organized, motivated, and passionate about driving results in a supportive and growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Hiring, training, and coaching new Sales Team Members (Designers) with full responsibility for team size, retention, and turnover.
• Commit and implement the company's proven sales model.
• Lead, develop, and direct the in-home sales team.
• Facilitate training in both one-on-one and group settings.
• Conduct monthly sales analysis and manage the company's sales KPIs and designer's leads and closing ratios.
• Provide design and pricing assistance, and conduct real-time price approvals.
• Ensure Sales/Designers comply with the sales process and administration, keeping records up to date.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years managing sales teams.
• Personal sales background of at least 2 years with a proven track record.
• Commitment to follow the proven, successful sales model.
• Positive attitude toward achievement.
• Great communication, organization, and coordination skills.
• Experience working with clients and excellent customer service skills.
• Retail sales and management experience is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience with Windows Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
