About the position

The Freight Forwarding Sales Manager will be responsible for driving new business in the Houston area by selling International Air and Ocean services. This full-time, direct hire position requires a proactive approach to sales, including prospecting and maintaining client relationships, while collaborating with internal teams and specialists to enhance market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Actively seek out new business through prospecting and meetings.
  • Execute the full lifecycle sales process.
  • Attend networking events and trade shows to prospect new business.
  • Collaborate with specialists to create a presence in the Houston market.
  • Maintain communication within internal teams and offices nationwide and overseas.
  • Travel within the Houston area to meet with clients for sales presentations.

Requirements

  • Experience using an ERP system, preferably CargoWise.
  • Knowledgeable about opportunities within the territory.
  • Ability to travel onsite locally for meetings.
  • Strong motivation to drive new business.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Minimum 3+ years of selling International Air and/or Ocean services with a freight provider.

Nice-to-haves
