About the position

The Sales Manager at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort is responsible for supporting the sales efforts of the hotel by building and strengthening relationships with existing and new customers. The role involves promoting the hotel to corporate and incentive markets, maintaining communication with the NSO network, and achieving predetermined revenue goals through effective negotiation and relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver revenue expectations in line with overall hotel budget.
  • Achieve annual goals as designated by DOS.
  • Maintain efficient and timely processing of paperwork, files, and reports.
  • Develop strong working relationships with hotel department heads and operational areas.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports of sales calls and marketing actions as requested by DOS/M.
  • Respond promptly to requests by DOS/M and/or DOM for reports and other assignments.
  • Actively prospect new business and secure repeat events.
  • Conduct site experiences and entertain potential and existing clients.
  • Attend networking functions and trade shows as needed to promote the hotel.
  • Develop and maintain an account base to achieve hotel revenue goals.
  • Implement a sales action plan for the development of designated market segments.
  • Respond promptly to all inquiries and correspondence from clients, prospects, and lead referrals.
  • Execute sales calls and sales trips as designated.
  • Negotiate contract specifics to achieve maximum profitability while satisfying customer needs.
  • Promote and sell to assigned market in defined geographic region or vertical segment.
  • Develop and foster business through proactive direct sales.
  • Promote local awareness through maintaining relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Identify potential new customers and develop strategies for increasing sales or market share.

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience in sales or guest relations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
