About the position

The Sales Manager at Sheraton Dallas Hotel by the Galleria is responsible for proactively soliciting and managing all revenue-related opportunities. This role focuses on maximizing revenue through effective sales strategies, upselling, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. The Sales Manager will coordinate meetings and functions, ensuring timely service delivery and achieving personal and team revenue goals.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively solicit and handle all revenue-related opportunities.
  • Maximize revenue opportunities through upselling.
  • Achieve personal and team revenue goals for the hotel.
  • Plan and coordinate meetings/functions while maximizing banquet space.
  • Utilize prospecting skills to exceed catering revenue goals.
  • Conduct customer site inspections and respond to inquiries within 4 hours.
  • Create sales contracts and manage customer budgets effectively.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Negotiate and book new and repeat business through various efforts.
  • Prepare status and period end reports to keep management informed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive sales experience.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Aggressive negotiating skills and creative selling abilities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and hotel systems (CI/TY).
  • Strong customer development and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage guest room and meeting space inventories.
  • Knowledge of menu planning and event service operations.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience selling luxury brands and experiential services.
  • Knowledge of AV products and services at hotels.
  • Understanding of financial management skills, including P&L statements.
