About the position

The Sales Manager at Park Hyatt Washington is responsible for driving sales of guest rooms, meeting spaces, and other hotel services. This role involves managing customer accounts, conducting site inspections, and generating new business opportunities. The Sales Manager will prepare and present proposals, maintain organized documentation, and coordinate customer service requirements. Additionally, the position requires participation in event meetings and collaboration with the sales and catering teams to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Sell guest rooms, meeting space, and other Hyatt services to customer groups.
• Manage accounts and conduct site inspections to generate business.
• Prepare and present effective proposals to clients.
• Maintain organized documentation and reports related to sales activities.
• Utilize Hyatt systems to coordinate customer service requirements.
• Participate in and potentially lead event meetings and sales staff meetings.
• Collaborate with sales and catering staff and support teams.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in general computer knowledge.
• Completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training is preferred.
• Training in selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentation skills is preferred.
