About the position

The Sales Manager at Driftwood Hospitality Management is responsible for proactively soliciting and managing all revenue-related opportunities for the hotel. This role focuses on maximizing revenue through effective sales strategies, building relationships with customers, and achieving personal and team revenue goals. The Sales Manager acts as the primary sales contact for customers, ensuring timely service delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively solicit and handle all revenue-related opportunities in sales.
  • Maximize revenue opportunities by upselling business opportunities.
  • Achieve personal and team revenue goals for the hotel.
  • Manage customer budgets to maximize revenue and meet customer needs.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls and events.
  • Conduct customer site inspections and excel at proactive selling.
  • Identify, qualify, and solicit new business to achieve revenue goals.
  • Respond to incoming inquiries within 4 hours and close opportunities based on market conditions.
  • Accurately forecast group sleeping rooms and revenue for events.
  • Create sales contracts and assist in financial management of the department.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and build long-term relationships.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive sales experience.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Experience selling luxury brands and experiential services preferred.
  • Aggressive negotiating skills and creative selling abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel systems like Delphi.
  • Strong customer development and relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of menu planning and event service operations.
  • Ability to manage guest room and meeting space inventories.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with contract management and legalities.
  • Knowledge of AV products and services at hotels.
  • Ability to conduct research on the Internet.
