About the position

The Sales Manager at YMCA of the North is responsible for promoting memberships, programs, and services to help the branch achieve its strategic mission goals. This role involves collaborating with the sales team to engage prospective members, assess their needs, and provide tailored solutions. The Sales Manager will also lead community outreach initiatives and ensure high levels of customer service while driving sales across various products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales team to meet monthly and annual sales goals and activity quotas.
  • Drive sales goals aligned with membership and programs at designated branches.
  • Lead growth initiatives/events in the communities.
  • Expand outreach prospecting of potential new members.
  • Attend all required meetings/trainings and actively engage cross sharing with fellow teammates and leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders including community leaders and program leaders.
  • Conduct tours for potential new members using a consultative sales approach.
  • Partner with the Sales Product Director on prospect and lead generation for new members.
  • Proactively drive sales across all programs and services in a responsive manner.
  • Demonstrate proficient use of sales system by accurate data entry and lead follow-up.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to current and potential members.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum two (2) years of sales or sales related experience.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work a variety of hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly.
  • Highly responsive, organized and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and to deal with pressure in meeting sales goals.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or communications.
  • Proven success in a sales position.
  • Basic life support, oxygen and first aid certified.
