About the position

The Sales Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all sales and marketing activities to promote tourism, travel, group sports, outdoor recreation, and convention business opportunities in Las Cruces. This role involves extensive market research, developing marketing plans, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance the visibility of Las Cruces as a travel destination.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and oversees extensive market research and business analysis projects to identify sales potential and marketing opportunities.
• Analyzes market conditions and develops marketing plans for business development.
• Gathers and compiles sales potential of opportunities and establishes objectives.
• Identifies and implements programs to create awareness of Las Cruces as a desirable travel location.
• Meets with clients and presents marketing programs; coordinates with other departments and organizations to accomplish marketing goals.
• Participates in trade shows to develop marketing leads and present marketing programs to clients.
• Assists in the development of sales tools and advertising materials.
• Assesses local and regional market dynamics and develops strategies to attract clients to Las Cruces.
• Prepares and delivers presentations to trade meetings and public groups.
• Maintains and monitors program records and prepares reports.
• Develops and implements sales budget and monitors expenditures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
• Two years of experience in sales and marketing programs.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
