About the position

The Sales Manager at Morris Group, Inc. is responsible for strategically planning, directing, and coordinating the sales activities of capital sales engineers and technical center staff. This role involves leading a team to exceed sales goals, developing business plans, and maintaining customer relationships while managing the local office operations.

Responsibilities

  • Create annual business plans and sales strategies to penetrate new markets.
  • Direct and coordinate sales activities to achieve/exceed sales targets for unit sales and gross margin dollars.
  • Hold team accountable for handling opportunities, forecasts, quotes, leads, and account coverage activities in Salesforce.com.
  • Set, review, maintain, measure, and lead sales staff to specific goals and metrics in Salesforce.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and vendors to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare, supervise, and manage budgets and expenditures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe office and tech center environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of capital sales management experience (manufacturing industry preferred).
  • Extensive experience in supplier relationship management and capital equipment sales processes.
  • Experience working in Manufacturing or Capital Sales Distribution environment (preferred).
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • General understanding of accounting including profit and loss.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to encourage and develop teams.
  • Proven track record to drive market share growth and meet financial commitments.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and cross-functional influencing skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and Salesforce.com.
