About the position

The Sales Manager at Floor Coverings International of Waukesha is responsible for leading a dedicated sales team while actively engaging in business development. This hybrid role combines team leadership with direct sales responsibilities, ensuring that both team targets and individual sales goals are met. The Sales Manager will develop and execute strategies for sales growth, oversee the day-to-day operations of the sales team, and build strong, lasting relationships with key clients to drive long-term business success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor the sales team, setting targets, tracking performance, and supporting professional growth to achieve collective and individual goals.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
  • Review and revise current sales systems, tools, and processes to facilitate replicability, consistency, and scalability.
  • Actively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities, managing the entire sales process for B2B, commercial, and residential accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide training, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal workgroups, including marketing and production, to align on goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics, presenting insights and progress updates to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field, OR comparable record of sales leadership experience required.
  • At least three years of sales experience required, flooring or home services experience is a strong plus.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce or other similar CRM related software.
