About the position

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in sales. This role requires an individual who can focus and execute business development plans, strategies, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets and accomplish financial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new and established accounts for continued revenue and profit growth
  • Conduct lead generation activities for new and incremental business, including cold calling, networking and other opportunity prospecting methods
  • Achieve company sales targets and objectives
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand existing accounts
  • Foster relationships with key clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Solicit freight from new or existing clients
  • Interact with top level executives internally and externally
  • Travel to prospective and existing customers as needed
  • Monitor competitor activities and market conditions to adjust strategies accordingly
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market analysis for senior management

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a sales management role, preferably within logistics or transportation sectors
  • Minimum 5 years of successful B2B sales experience
  • Minimum 10 years of Transportation Operations experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation or in Less Than Truckload (LTL)
  • Strong negotiating and leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess data and make informed decisions
  • Demonstrated success in business development and account management
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong emphasis on customer service
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
