About the position

The Sales Manager at Ulta Beauty is responsible for leading a high-performing team to achieve top-line sales growth while delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role involves overseeing the retail business operations, including sales, service, and compliance, while promoting a culture of accountability and performance. The Sales Manager will drive business results through effective team leadership, guest engagement, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed sales and service goals.
  • Drive company profitability by identifying underperforming metrics and developing strategies.
  • Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to support scheduling needs.
  • Plan and execute in-store events to enhance guest experience and drive sales.
  • Review and analyze financial and operational reporting regularly.
  • Perform makeup applications and product demonstrations to enhance guest service.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and product knowledge to better serve guests.
  • Maintain regular attendance and hold associates accountable to attendance policies.
  • Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent.
  • Build a highly engaged team through effective collaboration and communication.
  • Create an inclusive environment that encourages associate growth and engagement.
  • Support associate professional development through training and feedback.
  • Establish professional brand partner relationships to achieve sales goals.
  • Model teamwork and guest service excellence alongside the leadership team.
  • Execute the Guest Engagement Leader program to drive business results.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Use scheduling and task management tools to manage store workload effectively.
  • Protect company assets and minimize loss through adherence to operating procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement by influencing the adoption of company initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-3+ years of fast-paced retail management experience.
  • Proven success in driving top-line sales and managing payroll budgets.
  • Experience in monitoring inventory levels and achieving operational excellence.
  • Ability to attract, develop, and motivate top talent.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with basic technology, including Point of Sale systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
