About the position

The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a customer base within the assigned sales area, focusing on promoting the company's services and providing cost-effective solutions to enhance customer relationships and profitability. This role involves utilizing CRM tools to manage customer interactions, analyzing account performance, and collaborating with operations to address customer concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a customer base in the assigned territory, requiring travel.
  • Utilize the CRM to capture customer feedback and manage workflow, documenting leads, opportunities, and activities.
  • Provide rates as requested by existing and potential customers.
  • Analyze account and territory performance and determine necessary actions.
  • Grow OTR business and explore other business areas such as LTL in Mexico, Intermodal, Dedicated, Regional, and Cartage.
  • Monitor productivity and efficiency of equipment in the territory and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with Operations personnel and other Sales Managers to resolve customer concerns.
  • Maintain a balanced network within the territory.
  • Prepare territory reports.
  • Assist with accounts receivables.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year related sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with personnel in customer or vendor organizations to achieve desired results.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the use of personal computers, including Microsoft Office.
  • Proven skill in negotiating with customers to achieve mutually beneficial results.
  • Proven skill in oral and written communications, with the ability to prepare and deliver concise reports and presentations.
  • Successful completion of the CFI Sales Manager training course.
