About the position

The Sales Manager position at Advance Bronze Inc. involves overseeing the estimating process for machined parts, ensuring accurate cost and time estimates to meet customer expectations. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to develop successful proposals.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate quotes within the established system and ensure timely submission.
• Communicate with customers regarding the status of quotes and follow up on submitted quotes.
• Make proper cost estimations considering materials, machine tools, and specifications based on customer drawings.
• Obtain quotes from suppliers and contractors within specified time frames.
• Manage overall activities related to assigned project estimates, including coordinating engineering efforts and reviewing subcontractor proposals.
• Attend pre-production meetings and other required meetings for assigned project estimates.
• Work with customers and quality teams to execute revision changes.
• Identify missing information needed for estimates and communicate effectively with appropriate personnel.
• Research previous performance of past jobs or similar parts using ERP/CRM software.
• Collaborate closely with machinists, quality personnel, design engineers, and management.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in estimating parts in a machine shop environment.
• Working knowledge of CAD/CAM software.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, GD&T, process specifications, and material specifications.
• Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Minimum of an Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
