About the position

The Sales Manager at Ulta Beauty is responsible for leading a high-performing team to achieve top-line sales growth while delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role involves overseeing Beauty Advisors, Prestige Beauty Advisors, and Lead Cashiers, focusing on performance metrics, team development, and operational excellence. The Sales Manager is expected to embody Ulta Beauty's mission and values, driving accountability and fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusivity within the store.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Beauty Advisors, Prestige Beauty Advisors, and Lead Cashiers to achieve sales and service goals.
  • Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed retail and service sales targets.
  • Drive company profitability by identifying underperforming metrics and developing strategies for improvement.
  • Plan and execute in-store events to enhance guest experience and drive sales.
  • Review and analyze financial and operational reporting to inform business decisions.
  • Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to enhance guest service.
  • Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent for the store.
  • Support associate professional development through training and performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies and standards.
  • Utilize company tools to manage store workload and inventory control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-3+ years of fast-paced retail management or relevant experience.
  • Proven success in driving top-line sales and managing payroll budgets.
  • Experience in monitoring inventory levels and achieving operational excellence.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to attract, develop, and motivate a team.
  • Proficient with basic technology, including Point of Sale systems and Microsoft Office.
