About the position

The Sales Manager at Titan Hotel Group is responsible for driving sales efforts for the SpringHill Suites and Courtyard by Marriott properties in Cromwell and Southington, CT. This role involves active participation in sales activities, account management, and community engagement to enhance the hotel's visibility and revenue. The Sales Manager will work closely with guests, employees, and various hotel departments to ensure a positive experience and meet budgeted sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Execute sales activities to achieve budgeted goals.
  • Manage overall account management, business generation, and sales prospecting for assigned hotel property.
  • Respond to all sales inquiries in a timely manner with a sense of urgency.
  • Participate in Revenue Management strategies using tools like Star reports and demand analysis.
  • Manage existing and new client relationships and support revenue management efforts.
  • Complete sales functions of the assigned hotel, soliciting accounts to meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Organize, maintain, and track sales data.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends that the hotel can capitalize on.
  • Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts, including calling on accounts and meeting clients.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process.
  • Negotiate with clients to achieve maximum revenue while satisfying their needs.
  • Enhance the hotel's community image by participating in associations and events.
  • Assume active ownership of assigned sales territory and respond to market needs.

Requirements

  • Experience with FOSSE, MARSHA, and STS preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and perform basic computer functions, including MS Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Two years minimum hotel sales experience with Marriott preferred.
  • Strong hotel sales experience required.
  • Proven hospitality sales leader with a track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Excellent communication skills to create and maintain relationships internally and with clients.
  • Proficiency in Revenue Management strategies.
