About the position

The Sales Manager at La-Z-Boy is responsible for achieving store sales goals through exceptional customer service and in-depth knowledge of La-Z-Boy products. This role involves leading the sales team to foster long-term customer relationships, drive sales, and maintain operational excellence within the store. The Sales Manager will also focus on team development, ensuring that associates are trained and empowered to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales to consistently achieve store sales goals by personally selling furniture and accessories.
  • Team with Store Manager and selling team to promote In-Home Design Sales program.
  • Maximize store promotions and marketing initiatives.
  • Hire, train, and retain high-quality team members.
  • Coach the team using the Company selling model to drive action.
  • Create an environment where the store team is empowered to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Train and develop the selling team on product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Ensure associates have the necessary tools to perform their job responsibilities.
  • Champion the La-Z-Boy selling process by overseeing client interactions.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and appearance, including showroom displays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Three to five years of sales experience with a proven track record of success preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build rapport.
  • Ability to manage time and conflicting priorities effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail.
