About the position

The Sales Manager at Waterford Hotel Group is responsible for increasing overall hotel revenues by actively prospecting and qualifying new business, managing sales contracts, and providing client proposals. This role involves leading a sales team to maximize guest bookings and ensuring exceptional customer service. The Sales Manager will work closely with the management team to develop and execute sales strategies, analyze market information, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies with the management team.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of promotions.
  • Provide leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential.
  • Recommend booking goals for sales team members.
  • Participate in client calls to acquire new business.
  • Execute operational aspects of business booked, including proposals and contracts.
  • Analyze market information to achieve financial goals.
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback and improve satisfaction.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and positive guest relations.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Interview hourly employees to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in sales and marketing or a related area (1 year with a Bachelor's degree).
  • Solid organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
  • Proven lead-generation and closing skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish rapport with clients.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
