About the position

The Sales Manager at La-Z-Boy is responsible for achieving store sales goals through exceptional customer service and in-depth knowledge of La-Z-Boy products. This role involves leading the sales team to foster long-term customer relationships, drive sales, and maintain high operational standards. The Sales Manager will also focus on team development, ensuring that associates are well-trained and motivated to deliver excellent customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales to consistently achieve store sales goals by personally selling furniture and accessories.
  • Team with Store Manager, Designer, and selling team to promote In-Home Design Sales program.
  • Maximize store promotions, marketing initiatives, and grassroots programs.
  • Hire, train, and retain high-quality team members who exhibit energy and enthusiasm.
  • Coach the team to follow the Company selling model and drive real action.
  • Create an environment where the store team is empowered to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Train, coach, and develop the selling team on product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Create a positive and exciting working environment for all store associates.
  • Champion and role model the La-Z-Boy selling process by overseeing client interactions.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, appearance, and standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Three to five years of sales experience with a proven track record of success preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build rapport.
  • Ability to manage time and conflicting priorities effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Experience in the furniture industry.
  • Knowledge of design principles and home decor trends.
