About the position

The Sales Manager at Crowne Plaza Springfield is responsible for proactively soliciting and managing all revenue-related opportunities for the hotel. This role focuses on maximizing revenue through effective sales strategies, building customer relationships, and achieving personal and team revenue goals. The Sales Manager will also ensure proper service delivery and customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively solicit and handle all revenue-related opportunities.
  • Achieve personal and team revenue goals for the hotel.
  • Manage customer budgets to maximize revenue and identify upsell opportunities.
  • Conduct customer site inspections and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Respond to incoming inquiries within 4 hours and close business opportunities effectively.
  • Forecast group sleeping rooms and revenue accurately before turnover.
  • Create sales contracts and assist in financial management of the department.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and follow up post-event.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive sales experience.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Aggressive negotiating skills and creative selling abilities.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing).
  • Ability to manage guest room and meeting space inventories.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience selling luxury brands and experiential services.
  • Knowledge of AV products and services at hotels.
  • Familiarity with Delphi and Delphi Diagrams.
