About the position

The Sales Manager at Everstory Partners is responsible for leading all sales initiatives and practices within the organization. This role focuses on developing front line Sales Counselors and driving performance through a customer-focused experience. The Sales Manager will collaborate with sales staff to achieve sales goals, monitor production, and provide direction in hiring, training, and promoting staff. The position requires a compassionate professional who understands the importance of providing families with options during their time of need.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all sales initiatives and practices.
  • Develop front line Sales Counselors and drive performance.
  • Collaborate with sales staff to ensure attainment of sales goals.
  • Monitor production at the location and develop the sales team.
  • Provide direction in hiring, promotion, and training of assigned staff.
  • Ensure the best possible results from presentations to clients.
  • Communicate frequently with all departments to support location needs.
  • Evaluate sales activity daily to provide recommendations and best practices.
  • Coordinate employee scheduling to ensure coverage at all times.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of sales experience with a proven track record, preferably in a B2C industry.
  • 1 year of supervisory or management experience.
  • Proven leadership ability and excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong sales and communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise, motivate, and train sales personnel.
  • Capable of developing new methods to increase sales in a competitive environment.
  • Enjoys interacting and collaborating effectively with others in a team atmosphere.
  • Well organized with strong time management skills.
  • Possesses confidence and professionalism to interact with clients.
  • Ability to work with clients one-on-one and build strong customer relationships.
  • Desire to set own schedule and ability to work evening and weekend hours.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the funeral or grief support industry.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
