About the position

The Sales & Marketing Coordinator at Jack Link's Protein Snacks plays a crucial role in supporting the Sales Department by managing daily sales functions, including order entry, broker management, and trade show coordination. This position also involves assisting with marketing efforts, particularly through social media and retail store events, to enhance customer engagement and drive sales.

Responsibilities

  • Manages wholesale orders inbox, entering them into our software and interacting with shipping as well as DSD Ship to orders.
  • Works weekly with Sales Managers on presentation needs, samples, reporting, data, item #'s, pricing, promotions, agreements, and other ad hoc needs.
  • Assists with coordination of trade shows, including registration, travel arrangements, booth set-up, and marketing materials.
  • Follows up with leads from trade shows to help facilitate a sale.
  • Manages price lists, new items, GS1 & World Sync.
  • Manages reporting on open orders and shipped orders to monitor activity.
  • Exercises exceptional customer service skills to optimize each contact with the customer/distributor by responding to their needs/requests.
  • Acts as Sales Force CRM Champion, understanding the tool and assisting the team in learning it.
  • Manages Customer Portal for key accounts like Home Depot, Bass Pro, McLane, and more.
  • Gathers or maintains key information to update the customer database in Excel and develops a follow-up strategy.
  • Reports sales volume and orders using Excel.
  • Manages social media through Sprout and each app for content and consumer interaction, developing timely content.
  • Plans retail store activation events with the store supervisor to tie in with social media and advertising campaigns.
  • Works with key account representatives to ensure timely reporting of credits.
  • Assists with collective market data.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with CRM is a plus
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and consultative sales approach
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Superior customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Social Media acumen preferred
  • Strong telephone or association sales experience
  • Results-oriented and able to work independently and within a team environment
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • B.A. in Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
