About the position

The Sales & Marketing Manager at Arlington/Roe is responsible for enhancing agents' awareness and knowledge of the company's various insurance products, including Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, and Professional Liability. This role involves significant travel within the territory, making outbound calls, and collaborating with the underwriting team to develop growth strategies. The position requires a strong focus on customer service and relationship management with insurance agents across Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Traveling around the territory to meet with agents and increase awareness of Arlington/Roe's offerings.
• Making outbound phone calls to agents to educate them on various products.
• Collaborating with the IL underwriting team to develop growth plans for the state.
• Initiating and maintaining relationships with agents through visits, calls, and emails.
• Appointing and onboarding new agency partners in Illinois.
• Providing training for agencies on company systems, products, and procedures.
• Developing tiers of agents and identifying key partners for quarterly contact.
• Creating and implementing strategies to increase new business production.
• Traveling with the underwriting team for association meetings and agency visits.
• Serving as a liaison between the underwriting team and production leadership.
• Involvement with key core carriers and trade associations to promote the Arlington/Roe brand.
• Managing agency performance and assisting with collection issues as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 5+ years of Property and Casualty insurance experience.
• Ability to travel around the territory.
• Strong customer service skills and willingness to make phone calls.
• Experience in Excess and Surplus Lines is preferred.

• Insurance licensing and/or designations preferred.
