About the position

The Sales/Marketing Manager at Scientific Dust Collectors (SDC) is responsible for driving sales growth through the management of an independent manufacturer's representative network. This role involves recruiting, training, and motivating sales representatives to achieve sales goals, while also assisting with marketing campaigns to enhance the SDC brand. The position requires a blend of sales and marketing skills, with a focus on the pollution control industry.

Responsibilities

  • Educate, direct, and guide existing manufacturer's representative network to identify and close sales opportunities.
  • Recruit and train new representative networks in the United States and Canada.
  • Identify, train, and work closely with new sales reps, OEMs, and engineering firms.
  • Assist with marketing campaigns and further the SDC brand.
  • Develop new and/or existing product lines as industry knowledge increases.

Requirements

  • Experience interfacing with and managing a Manufacturer Representative Network.
  • Strong preference for experience in the pollution control industry with a proven track record of developing sales representatives.
  • Four or more years' experience as an Account Manager or similar role, with team management and sales training experience a plus.
  • Ability to travel to representatives, customers, and trade shows.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in B2B sales for at least 3 years.
  • Experience in business development for at least 3 years.
  • Experience in capital equipment sales for at least 3 years.
