About the position

The Membership Sales Representative at Columbia Association plays a crucial role in fostering relationships with current and prospective members, enhancing their sense of belonging within the club. This position is focused on generating revenue through enthusiastic sales and service, while also participating in advertising and promotions to attract new members.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Provide effective membership tours to prospective members and guests, matching their needs with appropriate membership options.
  • Follow up with prospects who do not join immediately, engaging them within 24 hours.
  • Generate new sales leads through various channels, including corporate accounts, member referrals, and community outreach.
  • Make a minimum of 40 phone calls per day and secure at least 2 appointments daily.
  • Maintain communication with current members to assist with retention and engagement in programs.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings and enhance performance through relevant sales materials.
  • Complete all membership paperwork accurately and submit for processing promptly.
  • Submit weekly membership sales reports and utilize them for business management.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide high service levels and assist in club operations.
  • Engage in relationship-building activities to generate guest traffic.
  • Attend member mixers and social functions to foster community.
  • Assist in planning and implementing promotions and member events, with lead generation plans prepared in advance.
  • Schedule a minimum of 29 hours per week and work the last two days of each month if team goals are unmet.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • CPR Certification.
  • 2-3 years of previous sales experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in meeting and exceeding sales goals.
