About the position

The Sales Merchandiser role at Maverick Beverage Company is focused on supporting the Chain Retail Division by managing product displays, delivering orders, and ensuring proper merchandising practices. The position requires effective communication with key decision-makers and the ability to work independently while meeting sales goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver orders and check them into accounts accurately.
• Stock shelves and build displays for maximum product exposure.
• Ensure products are merchandised correctly according to standardized procedures.
• Rotate stock appropriately and ensure correct pricing and point of sales material is displayed.
• Communicate effectively to resolve ordering or shipping needs within the designated territory.
• Meet agreed-upon goals and objectives in a timely manner.
• Provide pictures of display executions upon request from management.
• Maintain accurate daily and weekly logs of accounts visited.
• Arrive on time for work, appointments, and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of warehouse experience preferred, with inventory control experience being a plus.
• Forklift certification is beneficial.
• Ability to lift and carry a 40+ pound case of wine.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Goal-oriented with a proven track record of strong sales experience.
• Excellent communication skills to enhance customer and retailer relationships.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
