About the position

This position offers a unique opportunity for motivated individuals to gain valuable industry experience while working in a sales and customer support role. The role is designed to prepare and train individuals to become Licensed Insurance Sales Agents. The company provides paid classroom and hands-on training to assist trainees in obtaining their State Property/Casualty and Life and Health Licenses. As part of the training, individuals will assist customers, engage in marketing activities, and support all office functions under the direct guidance of an Agent or Lead Sales Agent. Once licensed, the individual will be responsible for the profitable growth and attainment of business goals by marketing and servicing Direct Auto products, which include Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance, to both new and existing customers. The role also involves assisting walk-in customers, supporting office operations, and marketing products outside of the office through marketing calls and visits. Additionally, the individual will monitor key competitors in the local market area and provide suggestions on initiatives that could enhance Direct Auto's position in the marketplace, along with handling sales administration and reporting activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers and provide excellent customer service.
  • Complete marketing activities to promote Direct Auto products.
  • Support office operations and assist with all office functions under the guidance of an Agent or Lead Sales Agent.
  • Market and service Direct Auto products to new and existing customers once licensed.
  • Assist walk-in customers and handle inquiries effectively.
  • Conduct marketing calls and visits to promote products outside of the office.
  • Monitor key competitors in the local market and suggest initiatives for improvement.
  • Handle sales administration and reporting activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain customer relationships.
  • Experience or willingness to develop key relationships and market products within community organizations.
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Highly motivated to market and sell in a multi-product environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Property/Casualty license preferred but not required; ability to acquire it within 90 days of hire is necessary.
  • High level of initiative, drive, and openness to learn new skills and information.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for sales.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales or customer service roles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the insurance industry is beneficial.
