About the position

The National Project Manager (NPM) is responsible for driving and delivering growth through strategic pre-project planning, continuous oversight, and timely closure of 'Mega' and other strategic projects. This role involves collaboration with National Account Managers (NAMs) and serves as a conduit between customer project teams and internal operational teams to ensure project success and customer satisfaction. The NPM will manage project development, communication, and resource allocation while utilizing the Air Liquide/Airgas portfolio of products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and deliver growth through strategic pre-project planning and oversight of projects.
  • Serve as a conduit between customer project teams and internal operational teams.
  • Engage with customer project-related influencers to maximize opportunities for success.
  • Develop and manage relationships with top-tier customer project personnel.
  • Gain early understanding of project scope to enhance customer visibility and internal communication.
  • Assist in developing new National Account prospects at project sites.
  • Support regions and NAMs with project-related asset and supply chain requirements.
  • Facilitate technical selling from the project level up.
  • Manage ongoing communication with all parties to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure accurate and timely job site setups and closures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5-8 years of project management, construction, and related experience.
  • Experience managing projects through the full life cycle.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes and related supplies.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Very strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and resourcefulness.
  • Practical understanding of Power BI, Google Sheets/Excel.

Nice-to-haves
