About the position

The Sales Officer Senior - Treasury Management at City National Bank is responsible for developing and selling treasury management products and services to new clients while expanding existing customer relationships. This role involves supporting business development activities, conducting needs analysis, and coordinating sales efforts to enhance the use of treasury management solutions. The incumbent will maintain knowledge of treasury management offerings and work closely with relationship officers to acquire new business and strengthen client ties.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and sell treasury management products and services to new clients.
  • Expand existing treasury management customer relationships.
  • Conduct customer/prospect needs analysis and develop service solutions/sales presentations.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with relationship officers and team members.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all treasury management products and services offered.
  • Analyze client requirements and present recommendations on applicable treasury management products/services.
  • Develop treasury management sales plans in conjunction with relationship managers and regional managers.
  • Foster ongoing relationships with line units by providing product/service information and conducting training sessions.
  • Manage the preparation and presentation of treasury management client proposals.
  • Meet regularly with existing customers to expand business relationships by cross-selling additional products and services.
  • Participate in the development of new services or modifications of existing services as requested.
  • Maintain awareness of market conditions and customer buying criteria.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years of cash management sales experience in a financial services environment required.
  • Minimum 4 years experience in managing/supporting medium to large account relationships required.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and principles to effectively market treasury management services.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to gather, arrange, compile, interpret, analyze, summarize and evaluate information and data to identify sales opportunities.
  • Ability to set priorities, objectives and goals.
  • Knowledge of card industry issues and competitive products/services.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial concepts, payment processing, and client accounting principles.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing marketing strategies and sales objectives.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as Bank Secrecy Act and Fair Lending Practices.
