About the position

The Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for activities related to reporting and analytics, events and marketing, customer service, and continuous process improvement. This position will support sales operations for our Five Star business and partner directly with Five Star's National Business Development Manager, Customer Service team, and Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare regular reports on sales activities and customer engagement, providing actionable recommendations on areas of opportunity, improvement and successes.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management meetings.
  • Lead qualification and prospect research.
  • Analyze sales data and trends to identify growth and declines.
  • Monitor and track monthly sales metrics and KPI's.
  • Assist in the development of sales forecasts and budgets.
  • Maintain our reporting processes with Syspro and Salesforce.
  • Track event merchandise and giveaways in collaboration with event marketing planner.
  • Build and maintain event list (beer guilds, ADI, CBC, packaging, Alcohol conventions, etc.).
  • Assist with onsite event management and handle post-event follow-up.
  • Participate and execute successful events throughout the year.
  • Create customer target lists for area visits.
  • Preparation of materials and administrative requests to support sales and marketing functions.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service through quality, accuracy, and process consistency.
  • Gather and document customer feedback and/or issues, relaying insights, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Maintain the CRM system by updating customer information, tracking interactions on CRM and ensuring data accuracy for effective customer relationship management.
  • Onboard new customers.
  • Proactively reach out to all customers on a regular basis.
  • Work closely with the customer service team to ensure orders are being shipped out in a timely manner and no issues are occurring.
  • Partner with sales and operations leadership to continually develop improved processes.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in sales support, analytics, or customer service is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Salesforce, and Syspro (or a comparable ERP) functions and modules.
  • Proficient in Excel specifically in V Lookup, Pivot Tables, Word, Power Point.
  • Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with all departments.
  • Able to work independently and in a Team Environment.
