About the position

The Sales Operations Analyst position at Netsmart is part of the company's Futures Program, which is designed for former interns who have previously participated in the program. This internship is an 8-week program based in Overland Park, Kansas, and is aimed at providing a comprehensive learning experience that combines on-the-job training, client-based work, professional development opportunities, and leadership exposure. The program also includes various social and networking events to foster relationships among participants. For those who are not local to the Kansas City metro area, housing options may be available, subject to certain criteria. As a Sales Operations Analyst, you will be part of a team responsible for streamlining and optimizing various aspects of the sales process. This includes working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure efficiency and effectiveness throughout the sales cycle. Key areas of focus will include the Price Desk, where you will assist in the creation of quotes and conduct margin analysis, as well as sales reporting, where you will work within Salesforce to analyze metrics and pipeline potential. Additionally, you will collaborate with the sales compensation team to support the organization structure and compensation processes. The role requires proactive identification of data quality and sales workflow gaps, offering solutions to improve the overall quote-to-cash process. You will also be responsible for preparing meeting agendas, summarizing discussions, and documenting action items. Standardization of sales workflows through research and documentation will be a key responsibility, along with maintaining pricing documents and supporting ad hoc pricing projects. You will also participate in planning and supporting the SyncWEEK event scheduled for July 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify data quality and sales workflow gaps and offer solutions to mitigate the issue to improve the overall quote-to-cash process.
  • Prepare meeting agenda and post-meeting summary and action items.
  • Drive standardization of sales workflow through research and documentation.
  • Salesforce account and opportunity mapping, data maintenance, and sales metrics reporting.
  • Review sales performance against sales targets.
  • Maintain pricing documents and support ad hoc pricing projects.
  • Maintain sales commission monthly reference files using offline Excel and Spiff.
  • Participate in SyncWEEK planning and support the actual event in July 2024.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills; MS Teams proficient.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and data.
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with operational analysis including data collection, reporting and analytics.
  • Salesforce exposure.
