About the position

The Sales Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the overall channel through effective data management, ensuring data accuracy, and enhancing the customer experience. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including managing business process effectiveness, conducting thorough analyses, making informed recommendations, and developing documentation and standard operating procedures. The analyst will coordinate and train team members on the implementation of approved processes, ensuring that all operations align with company standards and customer expectations. In this role, the Sales Operations Analyst will provide solutions and perform analyses for Builder and Multifamily portfolios, addressing the needs of customers through various tasks and projects as directed by management. Key responsibilities include analyzing customer accounts, spreadsheets, and databases to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies. The analyst will validate data from multiple sources to ensure that reports meet stakeholder requirements and maintain accuracy, particularly concerning account history, payment data, usage data, and address information. Additionally, the analyst will maintain SAP tables, produce validation reports, and monitor compliance with the Commission SOX control process. They will also manage master lists for customer activity, troubleshoot issues related to missing properties or incorrect account setups, and handle ad hoc requests from cross-functional teams. Recording all issues for tracking and escalation will be essential to identify trends and process gaps. The analyst will also maintain customer address change information and process it directly into SAP, demonstrating a proactive approach by asking critical questions to uncover root causes of issues and prevent future occurrences. The role requires the development of process documentation and conducting training for new team members or during the launch of new processes or systems. The analyst will manage small projects and miscellaneous tasks assigned by management, ensuring that all duties are performed efficiently and effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, as the analyst will create and maintain models to support their analyses and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer accounts, spreadsheets, and databases to proactively address discrepancies.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2+ years experience directly supporting staff members in a problem-solving, research capacity, data modeling.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365: Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, VBA/macros for data manipulation and automation.
  • Critical thinker with the ability to drive innovation and strategic thinking.
  • Strong analytical/technical aptitude.
  • Courteous, patient, energetic, and an enthusiastic personality with a professional demeanor.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills required, including excellent listening skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Crucial for interpreting and analyzing large datasets effectively applying industry knowledge to call out discrepancies.
  • Knowledge of CCS, Siebel, IRW, Salesforce, and BW software preferred.
  • Experience in a deregulated work environment is a plus.
