About the position

The Sales Operations Analyst Intern at Cornerstone Building Brands is a remote internship opportunity for Summer 2025. This role is pivotal in analyzing sales data to provide valuable business insights that will support the commercial leadership team. The intern will report directly to the Sales Operations Manager and will be responsible for creating new analyses that will enhance the understanding of business performance. This position is part of the Customer Data & Analytics function, which is integrated within the broader Strategic Marketing & Analytics team. In this role, the intern will conduct various research projects focused on commercial data to identify trends in sales behavior. This includes identifying shifts in product sales performance and understanding the relationships between different product categories in terms of purchases. The intern will also evaluate customer and channel profitability, which is crucial for making informed business decisions. Additionally, the intern will be tasked with building sales forecasting models based on historical performance and market projections, which will be essential for strategic planning. The findings from these analyses will be presented to commercial leadership, providing insights that can drive business strategies. The intern will also have the opportunity to partner with various functions such as sales, marketing, pricing, and analytics to ensure that insights are effectively communicated and utilized across the organization. This internship offers a unique chance to gain experience in a function that is undergoing significant growth and transformation, while also exposing the intern to a variety of business problems across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research projects into commercial data to identify trends in sales behavior

Requirements

  • Pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, data analytics, business, or related field
  • Knowledge of Excel, Power BI and other analytics tools
  • Willingness to work with stakeholders across functions to align on a common mission
