About the position

The Sales Operations Analyst position at Henry Schein is a hybrid role based in American Fork, Utah, requiring 2 to 3 days in the office. The primary responsibility of the Sales Operations Analyst is to manage and coordinate various projects within the sales operations and broader business improvement initiatives of Henry Schein One (HSO). Reporting directly to the Sales Operations Manager, the Analyst will support the HSO software business by conducting sales pipeline data analysis and reporting, managing sales improvement projects, and collaborating with key business and functional members across the HSO organization. In this role, the Analyst will analyze and report on sales and pipeline data on a monthly basis and as needed, preparing summaries of sales results with actionable recommendations for the HSO Leadership Team. The Analyst will perform sales effectiveness analyses, such as evaluating win/lose rates and the health of the sales pipeline, and will escalate and track any sales report issues to the appropriate teams. Additionally, the Analyst will help drive strategic initiatives for the HSO business, create and analyze key metrics to identify performance issues, and develop and execute special projects aimed at performance improvement. The position also involves supporting annual sales target setting activities, managing sales projects for effectiveness initiatives, and participating in special projects as required. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines. A commitment to customer service and engagement, along with a detail-oriented approach, is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and report on sales and pipeline data monthly and as needed.
  • Prepare month-end and mid-month summary of sales and pipeline results with recommendations for action for HSO Leadership Team.
  • Perform sales effectiveness analysis (e.g. win/lose rates, length of sales cycle, health of pipeline, productivity, trends, etc.) and share with HSPS leadership toward addressing and improving sales results.
  • Escalate, track and follow-up on HSO-specific sales report issues or requests to HSPS sales operations team, Finance or HSO Leadership team.
  • Help drive strategic initiatives for the HSO business.
  • Create and analyze key metrics to identify issues and offer recommendations to the HSO leadership to improve performance.
  • Develop, manage, and execute special projects including performance improvement plans and restructuring efforts.
  • Support the existing business practice areas.
  • Support activities related to annual sales target setting (business and individual), liaising with HSO leadership, Finance and HSO sales operations team.
  • Contribute to HSD sales management or operations initiatives from a HSO business perspective.
  • Manage sales projects for effectiveness initiatives and related communications to the HSO Sales and Marketing Leadership Teams.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Three plus years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience; minimum of two years of sales analyst experience.
  • Ability to work with large and complex data sets.
  • Basic planning/organizational and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent communications / presentations skills, proven experience creating executive level presentations.
  • Excellent analytical ability, problem-solving capabilities and ability to manage multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Phenomenal customer service and engagement skills.
  • Great people skills and the ability to be personable and professional.
