About the position

The Sales Operations Analyst at Fortive Corporation is a professional role focused on providing reporting and analytics to support strategic sales initiatives. This position aims to enhance sales productivity through data analysis, financial modeling, and cross-functional collaboration with sales, operations, and finance teams. The analyst will play a crucial role in enabling sales leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions and will be involved in various aspects of sales operations, including performance metrics, forecasting, and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide insights and analytics to support the execution of key initiatives and increase sales productivity.
  • Assist in the development and reporting of key performance metrics to help drive increasing Sales productivity.
  • Assist with annual planning and monthly forecasting processes to support the sales leadership team.
  • Analyze performance and productivity data to support coaching/performance management efforts carried out by sales leaders.
  • Understand key metrics including outside data, year-over-year performance, and run rates in relation to overall company goals.
  • Work directly with Sales Operations leadership on business-critical reporting needs.
  • Extract data sets and perform analysis to support sales pipeline management, resource coverage, and customer retention efforts.
  • Manage, resolve, and route CRM related issues/requests from sales team members.
  • Proactively monitor and maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization's planning efforts.
  • Maintain reports tracking standardized sales processes, standardized KPIs, and executive dashboards.
  • Provide insights and data that allows sales leadership to allocate resources for all sales roles in the organization.
  • Develop strong working relationships with sales organization, finance, business development, and operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field or 5 years experience managing and analyzing large data sets.
  • 2+ years in a sales support business-to-business professional role or 2+ years in a professional analytical role.
  • Solid analytical problem-solving skills, including familiarity with analyzing reports and deriving insights from data.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to apply business financial knowledge to support growth and provide meaningful analytics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with and influence various stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn proprietary CRM tools for planning and forecasting sales growth (experience with Salesforce and NetSuite is a plus).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & Power BI).
  • Experience working with Excel & Power BI conducting analysis and reporting of sales data required.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proactive, self-directed, with the ability to structure a weekly schedule for success.
  • Quick learner when facing new challenges; motivated by solving problems.
  • Flexible; readily accepts change and views new experiences as growth opportunities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite CRM tools.
  • Advanced skills in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
