About the position

The Sales Operations and Business Development Manager at A to Z Machine Company is responsible for leading the sales department's daily operations and developing strategies for business growth. This role focuses on enhancing customer value, improving processes, and fostering a high-performing culture within the organization. The manager will work closely with the customer management team to identify new business opportunities and support existing customers, ensuring alignment with the company's technical capabilities and customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct day-to-day operations of the sales department.
• Develop and implement sales and business development strategies.
• Identify new business opportunities that align with the company's core competencies.
• Support and further develop existing customer relationships.
• Build a high-performing culture focused on safety, quality, and teamwork.
• Work with the Executive Leadership Team to achieve business goals.
• Monitor team performance and foster accountability to meet sales quotas.
• Act as a continuous improvement resource to eliminate barriers to customer value.

Requirements

• Experience leading a sales team with a strong sales acumen and operational expertise.
• Understanding of the organization's technical capabilities and customers' technical requirements.
• Ability to set strategic goals and objectives for sales and customer management.
• Strong motivation skills to drive the sales team toward meeting quotas.
• Experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with customers.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement initiatives within the sales department.
• Technical degree in machining, engineering, or related fields.
