About the position

The Sales Operations Business Analyst at GAF Materials Corporation plays a crucial role in enhancing business systems and processes within the Sales Operations Organization. This position involves thorough analysis of opportunities to improve systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, capturing requirements, and providing ongoing support for applications. The analyst will also be responsible for training development and change management, ensuring that the organization operates efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the end-to-end delivery of projects for the Sales Operations Technology team, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide product, application, and process support, end-user support where needed, and training development.
  • Support multiple complex business processes and develop subject matter expertise across the portfolio of systems.
  • Identify functionality gaps and continuous improvement opportunities, drafting appropriate action plans and user stories.
  • Perform detailed analysis and document needs and systems impacts to ensure successful delivery and support of various GAF applications.
  • Complete assigned analyst duties while managing 1-2 projects simultaneously of varying size and complexity.
  • Act as the Voice of the Customer by understanding end-user and client experiences during project delivery.
  • Conduct customer research through surveys, product analytics, market research, and interviews to gain insights into customer needs.
  • Create and maintain business process models, business requirements, use cases, and test cases.
  • Facilitate and lead user story elicitation/design sessions using various methods such as interviews and workshops.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5+ years experience in systems analysis and design with a proven record of successful project implementations.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum or waterfall methodologies, including user stories and managing the Product Backlog.
  • Sales Operations, Sales Management, Operations, or Information Systems experience is a plus.
  • Developing knowledge of emerging technologies.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar certification is a plus.
  • Product Owner or Scrum Master certification is a plus.
  • Experience in Jira and Trello is a plus.
  • Experience in Salesforce is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; detail-oriented and diverse.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of teams and build strong working relationships.
