The goal is to proactively assess and enhance business performance while adhering to profitability guidelines. This role is based in Jaffrey, NH, and reports directly to the Manager of Sales Operations. In this role, the Sales Operations Engineer will leverage their expertise in catheter and extrusion capabilities to foster profitable business relationships and secure new business opportunities. They will be responsible for developing pricing strategies and models for key accounts, preparing and analyzing quotation metrics, and making informed recommendations to senior management. Additionally, the engineer will assist in the formalization and negotiation of customer contracts, ensuring that terms, conditions, product volumes, and prices align with company standards. The position also involves coordinating communication across various teams to ensure project timelines are met and customer service issues are addressed promptly. The Sales Operations Engineer will keep management informed about market conditions and product performance, providing insights for future growth strategies, including potential acquisitions and new product development. Engaging with potential customers to showcase Teleflex Medical OEM's products and capabilities is also a key responsibility, along with managing accounts to expedite orders and resolve any issues related to payments, delivery, and product performance. Overall, this role is crucial for driving sales performance and achieving the company's objectives in the medical device sector.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the conduit between the sales team, operational functions, and customers to develop financially sound customer quotes.
  • Utilize product expertise to maintain profitable business relationships and secure new business opportunities.
  • Develop pricing strategy and determine pricing model for key and new accounts based on company guidelines and market trends.
  • Prepare, analyze, and educate management on quotation metrics and make recommendations to senior management.
  • Assist in the preparation, formalization, and negotiation of customer contracts, including terms, conditions, product volumes, and prices.
  • Coordinate and communicate with various departments on project timelines and customer service issues.
  • Keep management informed of market conditions and product performance, making recommendations for future growth.
  • Meet with potential customers to explain and recommend Teleflex Medical OEM's products and capabilities.
  • Manage accounts and provide follow-up to expedite orders and resolve problems.
  • Monitor and analyze customer performance to assist in achieving sales objectives.
  • Evaluate territory performance against established objectives and take action to improve performance.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts by customer and product in conjunction with Sales Managers.
  • Assist in setting up and attending trade shows and support follow-up on leads.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in the medical device field preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record for meeting objectives in a technology company.
  • Experience in administering complex sales processes preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Projects.
  • High degree of initiative and ability to multi-task.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and accuracy.
