About the position

The Sales Operations Lead for the Worldwide Specialist Organization at AWS is responsible for partnering with Specialist GTM teams to drive adoption of strategic AWS services. This role involves analyzing historical results, making business recommendations, and managing the annual go-to-market (GTM) plan. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, leveraging data to develop strategies and improve business processes, ultimately supporting the growth of AWS offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted business partner to Specialist leaders and team members, leveraging data and analyses to land business insights, develop GTM strategies, and scale the business.
  • Deliver improvements to the reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data to their customers.
  • Support the administration and execution of the team's targets, including segmentation of business goals, measurement of goal attainment, evolving and driving various demand generation campaigns and proposing improvements to the business to increase its effectiveness in driving desired results.
  • Support the rhythm of the business activities such as Monthly Business Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, and other cadenced reporting and metrics.
  • Work directly with the models/data. Work with data sets and the technical tools needed to work with them.
  • Advocate for their customers to other internal stakeholders. Active collaboration with teams in AWS Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence, Business Development, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, and AWSI Sales Operations will be crucial to the effective execution of the responsibilities.
  • Drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems.

Requirements

  • Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
  • 5+ years of sales operations or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel.
