About the position

The Sales Operations Manager at County Materials is responsible for leading a team of project managers, project coordinators, and estimators to enhance warehouse efficiency and improve the commercial processes. This role involves close collaboration with sales representatives and operations management to ensure effective project management and customer satisfaction. The position emphasizes continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and process efficiency while maintaining safety standards and compliance with operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and provide leadership to a team of project managers, project coordinators, and estimators.
  • Develop and manage the commercial processes of the warehouses to increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with sales representatives, dispatch personnel, and operations management.
  • Manage day-to-day efficiencies of project lead teams that build proposals for County Materials products.
  • Maintain safety standards and input on production planning and scheduling.
  • Complete take-offs and quotes, track performance, and ensure process reliability.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the business.
  • Motivate employees through goal setting, feedback, and performance evaluation.
  • Resolve personnel issues and ensure open communication among employees.
  • Enhance and monitor compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining project management software for valuable market information.
  • Provide reports to Region & Sales Manager regarding market and customer trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience managing projects and supervising in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Strong participative leadership skills and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work without direct supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiating, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks with conflicting priorities.
  • Strong understanding of underground specifications related to concrete pipe and precast items.
