About the position

The Sales Operations Manager for the North American region at Oregon Tool, Inc. plays a crucial role in optimizing sales processes and implementing sales technologies to enhance the efficiency of the sales and marketing teams. The Sales Operations Manager will work closely with various departments, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations, to streamline processes and drive sales performance. In this role, the Sales Operations Manager will be responsible for improving sales practices, documenting processes, and managing a central team calendar. They will oversee data management, ensuring the quality of data and the effective use of CRM systems such as Salesforce. The position also involves cross-functional collaboration to align strategies, create pipeline management tools, and maintain pricing consistency across the organization. Additionally, the Sales Operations Manager will develop key performance indicator (KPI) reports, dashboards, and growth packs, leading forecasting and performance tracking efforts. Training and support for the sales team on new tools and processes will be a significant part of the role, along with managing customer communications and assisting with contract negotiations. Effective communication and documentation will be essential to maintain open lines of communication within the team and across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Improve sales practices and document processes.
  • Manage a central team calendar.
  • Maintain data quality and oversee CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Ensure consistent sales and marketing processes.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align strategies.

  • Lead forecasting and performance tracking efforts.
  • Educate and support the sales team on new tools and processes.
  • Coordinate training and manage customer communications.
  • Assist with contract negotiations.
  • Maintain open communication through formal and informal documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 7+ years of applicable experience required.
  • Background in Sales Operations or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales operations, business development support, or a related role.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Thrive in a customer-centric culture with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and PowerBI.
  • Experience in preparing executive-level reports and presentations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional CRM tools beyond Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with advanced data analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of sales forecasting methodologies.
