About the position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the leading cloud provider, offering a wide range of services to customers globally. The Sales Operations Manager for North America Startups will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of startups that utilize AWS as their primary Cloud Service Provider (CSP). This position is part of the Global Sales Operations team, which is dedicated to optimizing workflows and enhancing operational productivity across the NAMER Startups segment. The role involves close collaboration with various teams, including Go-To-Market (GTM), Business Development, Sales, Partner, Finance, and Marketing, to ensure that the sales force is equipped to effectively acquire, grow, and retain high-growth startups on the AWS platform. In this position, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis and process optimization to define key sales support systems that align with business objectives. You will be responsible for leading change management initiatives aimed at improving processes and removing roadblocks that hinder sales productivity. Your work will be instrumental in driving solutions that empower the sales team and support AWS's mission to be the CSP of choice for startups. The role requires a strategic mindset and the ability to provide high-quality decision-making support based on data-driven insights. The North America Startups Sales Operations team acts as a trusted advisor to sales leaders, focusing on long-term operational initiatives that are essential for the health of the business. This includes identifying critical projects that may not yield immediate results but are vital for the long-term success of AWS in the startup ecosystem. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Go-To-Market and Business Development teams to drive growth in the North America Startups segment.
  • Optimize workflows and extract actionable insights from data to support sales operations.
  • Define and implement key sales support systems aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead change management initiatives for process improvements across the NAMER SUP organization.
  • Build strong relationships across functions such as Sales, Partner, Finance, and Marketing.
  • Remove roadblocks and drive solutions that empower the sales force to effectively acquire and retain startups on AWS.
  • Provide COO-level support and thought leadership to sales leaders based on data-driven insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of sales operations or equivalent experience.
  • Experience conducting sophisticated analysis of complex data and translating results into actionable deliverables.
  • Experience developing and implementing systems/tools for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, and forecasting.

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience.
