About the position

The Sales Operations Manager at Motiv Power Systems plays a pivotal role in managing revenue operations and driving effective sales strategies within the commercial electric truck industry. This position is essential for supporting the company's rapid growth and involves collaboration with remote sales representatives and various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, focusing on improving sales productivity and fostering relationships across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics to achieve clear sales targets aligned with company goals.
  • Lead the scheduling and facilitation of internal and external meetings, engaging with data to support Strategic Account Review (SAR) and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) meetings.
  • Develop and implement a sales KPI dashboard to monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and developing mitigating actions.
  • Manage key processes and systems to provide transparency and project management of the entire quote/proposal-to-order/build/revenue recognition/accounts receivable/delivery/collections ecosystem.
  • Balance strategic and data thinking with a strong action orientation to deliver tactical results.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between sales leadership, executive leadership, and other departments to strengthen internal communication and relationships with stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and evaluate potential new business opportunities.
  • Deliver actionable, accurate, and timely data and information for stakeholders to ensure timely collection of receivables.
  • Assist with strategic deal-making activities to secure profitable partnerships and agreements.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal partners, potential clients, and industry influencers.
  • Conduct financial analysis and modeling to assess the viability and profitability of business opportunities, presenting findings to the executive team.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to sales and CRM systems.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Sales Operations or Inside Sales.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field; Master's preferred (MBA ideal).
  • Experience in high-level planning, including portfolio management, sales goal setting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Experience with budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong negotiating, influencing, and networking skills.
  • Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, Confluence, Collaboration Tools, Google Suite.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
